Why do some people drink the leaves in green tea?

I drink green tea regularly with loose leaves but so does my mom, but she drinks them. I dont know why she does that, is it beneficial?

It may give a little more in the vitamins and minerals that are present, as well as fiber. It won’t cause any harm, so if she likes doing it, go for it!

Yeah, I’m not quite sure what the benefits are but I’m pretty sure there are some nutriets that are in the leaves.

you don’t eat them… they probably don’t have any nutrients in them anymore assuming it’s absorbed in the water when it’s heated…

Antioxidant, is the answer you are looking for. Also do some research on the internet, there is a lot out there on green, black, grey, and other tea varieties and blends
